Eagle Project!

My 14 year old brother is working on his Eagle Project (impressive)! He will be building fences along a hiking trail in the mountains. For his fundraiser his goal was to raise $800 by doing a garage sale. After only two days he broke the $1000 mark! Liam had a lot of fun scavenging through the donations!

Quiet Book Pages!

My Relief Society started to make Quiet Books back in the early fall. As a group we did 8 pages but I just kept finding cute ideas and soon my 8 pages turned into 32! The book still isnt done but it is done enough to take pictures! I have a few finishing touches, like putting the hands on the clock and a shoe lace in the football, before binding it. Once they are completely finished I will definitely post pictures. I have spent way too long on it not too! The pages all turned out to be different sizes and some didn't turn out as well as the others. There are a lot of silly mistakes that I am just too lazy to fix (like the ice cream scoops that are bigger than the page).

I forgot to flip the title page of the first book- oops!

My page ideas came from the relief society, my wonderful friends' imaginations, Simplicity Pattern 3709, and 2 very cute blogs:

Mommy moment

We all had a stomach bug this week. I was rocking Liam in the glider and he would just smile and giggle. He only snuggles when he is sick so I guess some good things come from having the 'bug'! Anyways, we were rocking in the chair, bonding and all of the sudden baby started kicking. It was a wonderful mommy moment, snuggling with Liam and feeling baby kick at the same time. I have had a hard time bonding with this baby and finally I feel like that bond has had a jump start!

"Oh, I wont stop you!"

Justin and I were late checking into graduation last night. We got lost and then had to park forever away so by the time we actually made it into the building we were about 15 mins late. After getting our cards and checking in I ran to the bathroom. Unless I made it to the bathroom now, there was no way I would make it through the ceremony without an embarrassing accident. In the hall way was some staff that was trying hard to round up all the graduates to get them back into the check-in room. I really had to pee and was walking fast as a pregnant lady in heels can. I put my hand on my tummy just when the lady was about to redirect me. Suddenly her tone and expression changed and she said, "Oh, I wont stop you!"

Baby Update

We had an appointment with our midwife, Marie, today (18w6d). We got to listen to the heartbeat again. It was going 145bpm! My uterus is mearsuring big (she didn't tell me how big) but you can't really tell because it is longer like a watermelon instead of sticking out! Everything looks/sounds great! We have our big/only ultrasound in 2 weeks!!! Now that the first trimester is over, the pregnancy is going really fast! I can't believe I am almost half way done!

Definitely Not!

Me: "Hey Liam, are you excited to be a big Brother?"
Liam: "Yeah"

Me: "Are you going to love the baby?"
Liam: "Yeah"

Me "Are you going to give kisses to the baby?"
Liam: "Yeah"

Me: "Are you going to get a Big Boy bed soon?"
Liam: "Yeah"

Me: "Are you going to give your crib to the baby?"
Liam: "Yeah"

Me: "Big boys don't need pacifiers. Are you going to give your pacifer to the baby?"
Liam: Looks at me for a second, shakes his head no, climbs off my lap and walks away.

Justin's new job!

So, I have been waiting to post about justin's new job until he actually starts but I just can't wait anymore! He was hired on at the Walmart Distribution center in Cheyenne, WY. No, we are not moving. The commute will be no longer than commuting to Denver. He is transferring there the beginning of May! With this transfer will come a very nice and welcomed pay raise, and only three days working a week! They will be 12 hour shifts but Justin (who has worked 12s before) said that he would much rather work 3-12s than 5-8s! I don't blame him! He will be working overnight weekends. The hardest part will be fitting church into the schedule but it will happen. It might take a few Sunday's to find the best sleep schedule though. This schedule will be great for school because it leaves almost the whole week open! Congrats to Justin for getting this new job!
